Safe@Home
with Brittany Ward, Wood County Hospital - Wellness
Designed to prepare students to be safe when they are home alone. Students learn how to practice safe habits, how to prevent unsafe situations, and what to do when faced with dangers such as power failures or weather emergencies. Students also learn a system to help them assess and respond to injuries and illnesses.
Register online and payment is due by credit card (only) at registration. Call Wood County Hospital Wellness Services at 419-354-8887 with questions.

with Cassie Sharits, Wood County Hospital - Wellness
Designed to prepare students to be safe when they're home alone, watching younger siblings, or babysitting.
The instructor-led class is filled with fun games and role-playing exercises. Students even get to use manikins to practice rescue skills like choking rescue!
Cost is $70 for community members. Please register online. Payment is due at time of registration and payment by credit card only.

Heartsaver CPR/AED - January 29th, 2025
with Wood County Hospital - CPR & Advanced Life Support
This classroom course instructs students on CPR, AED use, and relief of choking in adults, infants, and children.
This class may not be accepted for the renewal of healthcare certifications as it is intended for non-medical professionals. Please check with your certification/ licensing agency or your institutional policy.
This class is intended for those who have a duty to respond to a cardiac emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements. Occupations include, but not limited to: day care providers, teachers, bus drivers, and coaches.
Prenatal Breastfeeding Class
with Dawn Miller RN, Wood County Hospital - Obstetrics
A great way to begin your breastfeeding journey. Learn important basics to help you get a good start with building a great milk supply and a good latch from the moment your infant is placed on your chest. Class also provides you the opportunity to get all your breastfeeding questions answered by our Certified Lactation Counselor. ONLY 1 REGISTRATION NEEDED PER COUPLE!
Pupil Activity Permit - Coaches Clinic
with Wood County Hospital - Rehabilitation: Sports Medicine
The Coaches Clinic is designed for coaches of scholastic youth who need to receive their Pupil Activity Permit to supervise extracurricular activities. Participants will receive a three-year permit. Online registration is required.
Wood County Hospital Sports Medicine has contracts with schools to provide the Pupil Activity Permit Classes free. Those schools are:
Bowling Green City Schools
Eastwood Local Schools
Elmwood Public Schools
Patrick Henry Schools
The class will cost $45 for coaches from other schools.
