Building a Better Plate: Protein and Healthy Eating
Join us for an informative nutrition program focused on the latest dietary guidelines and the important role protein plays in supporting health, strength, and healthy aging.
Participants will learn practical strategies for building balanced meals and increasing protein intake. The program will also feature a cooking demonstration and delicious food samples with easy, nutritious recipes you can make at home.

Safe@Home Class

Designed to prepare students to be safe when they are home alone. Students learn how to practice safe habits, how to prevent unsafe situations, and what to do when faced with dangers such as power failures or weather emergencies. Students also learn a system to help them assess and respond to injuries and illnesses.

Prenatal Breastfeeding Class
with Dawn Miller RN, Wood County Hospital - Obstetrics
A great way to begin your breastfeeding journey. Learn important basics to help you get a good start with building a great milk supply and a good latch from the moment your infant is placed on your chest. Class also provides you the opportunity to get all your breastfeeding questions answered by our Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant. ONLY 1 REGISTRATION NEEDED PER COUPLE!
PALS- Heartcode (Blended Learning)- October 22, 2026
with Wood County Hospital - CPR & Advanced Life Support
HeartCode PALS has two main components- an on-line portion, and an in-person ands-on skills session.
Please sign up for this class no later than 2 weeks prior. It may take up to 1 week to receive the link to the online portion you need to complete and then you must complete the on-line portion prior to attending the skills session.
The on-line course content is presented in the form of self-directed learning content, probes, and Cognitive Assessment Activities. The student has a choice of completing a pre-hospital or in-hospital contextualized track.
After on-line course completion you MUST print a copy of your certificate and bring it to the skill session to recieve your card. NO EXCEPTIONS.
The skill session is the date this class is listed as- you must attend the entire skill session to receive your ACLS certification.

ACLS- Heartcode (Blended Learning)- November 19, 2026
with Wood County Hospital - CPR & Advanced Life Support
HeartCode ACLS has two main components- an on-line portion, and an in-person ands-on skills session.
The on-line course can be completed as the student is able. The content is presented in the form of self-directed learning content, probes, and Cognitive Assessment Activities. This ACLS course teaches the importance of preventing cardiac arrest, high-performance teams, early and continuous high-quality CPR, systems of care, recognition and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest, post-cardiac arrest care, acute dysrhythmias, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes (ACS).
Please sign up for this class no later than 2 weeks prior. It may take up to 1 week to receive the link to the online portion you need to complete and then you must complete the on-line portion prior to attending the skills session.
After completing the online portion, students will attend a structured, Instructor-led hands-on session that focuses on meaningful skills practice, debriefing, team dynamics training, megacode cases, discussions of local protocols and skills testing.
